Twelve years of Bronx driveways, bodega lots and side streets.
Andry started out doing brake jobs for neighbors on Botanical Square with a floor jack and a milk crate of tools. Word moved faster than he could keep up with. Today the van carries a full diagnostic kit, an air compressor, a battery load tester and enough stock to finish most jobs on the first visit — but the way it works hasn't changed. You call, you tell him what the car is doing, and he tells you straight whether it's something he can handle at your curb or something that genuinely needs a lift.
That honesty is most of the business. Plenty of people call expecting to be upsold and hang up having paid for exactly one thing.

Services
Brakes — pads, rotors, calipers
Grinding, squealing, a pedal that sinks to the floor, or a pull to one side when you brake. We replace pads and rotors, free up or swap seized calipers, bleed the lines and road-test the car on your block before we pack up. Most four-wheel brake jobs are done in a driveway in under three hours.
Batteries & charging
No crank, clicking, dim lights, or a car that dies overnight. We load-test the battery and the alternator, clean the terminals, and fit a new battery on the spot if it's done. If it's the alternator or a parasitic drain, we'll tell you what it is before you spend anything.
Diagnostics & check-engine lights
Full OBD-II scan with live data, not just a code readout. We trace misfires, sensor faults, EVAP leaks and rough idle back to the actual cause, then hand you the printout and a plain-English explanation. Second opinions welcome — bring us the estimate you were given.
Starters, alternators & no-starts
Turn the key and get nothing, or one click and silence. We test the starter circuit, the ignition switch and the ground straps, and replace starters and alternators in place. A surprising number of "dead starter" calls turn out to be a corroded ground — that one costs you a fraction of what you expected.
Tires, flats & rotations
Flat in a lot you shouldn't be sitting in at midnight? We'll come plug or swap it, mount your spare properly, and torque the lugs to spec. Rotations, seasonal changeovers and TPMS resets are all done at your parking spot.
Oil, filters & pre-purchase checks
Full synthetic oil and filter changes in your own driveway, plus fluid top-offs and a look at belts and hoses while we're under there. Buying a used car? We'll meet you at the seller's address and go over it before you hand over cash.

Home base is 2995 Botanical Square in the Bronx, right by the New York Botanical Garden. From there we cover Fordham, Belmont, Bedford Park, Norwood, University Heights, Morris Heights, Concourse, Pelham Parkway, Riverdale and Wakefield as standard. We also run into Upper Manhattan — Inwood, Washington Heights, Harlem — plus western Queens and Yonkers. Outside that ring we'll still come out for bigger jobs; just ask when you call.
Hours
Open around the clock.
Andry Mobile Mechanic is open 24 hours a day, every day — including weekends and holidays. Breakdowns don't check a calendar, and neither do we. Overnight calls for no-starts, flats and lockouts are routine; if you're stuck at 3am, call and someone picks up.
After-hours jobs are quoted the same way as daytime ones. You'll know the price before we start.
